Today we celebrate a double birthday. Tim Turbo Thursday is now 40 issues old today and I went one year older yesterday, too. Of course we needed a special thingy for this special occasion. Thats why Switzerland’s enfant terrible, DJ and producer WILDLIFE! invited the whole freaking jungle to join him blastin out big tunes on this Tim Turbo Thursday #40. NY Times, Fader, The Guardian, The Independent, VICE, XLR8R, URB, Rolling Stone, and others praised this boy for his unanimously productions for Terry Lynn‘s stunning debut-album “Kingstonlogic 2.0″ and by the way he throws the best party in Bern at Bonsoir.
So what can you expect from this mix? He would say: “sort of like… putting a Jamaican cat in a blender feet first and turning up the bass to balance out the noise.” I say, you better put your Adidas-loincloth on and make sure your liana is shine and criss. I decided that the Tim Turbo Thursday series will end with the 50th issue. Just because and for reasons. But we got lots of great unexpected trailblazing new ideas made from our combined brain juices coming up and you will deffo still get your regular dose of Tim Turbo in the future. Next week’s small anniversary will be celebrated with a guest mix by the most hussling hussler among Swiss husslers – Wildlife!

I just got back from touring California and Texas with Danny Scrilla for two weeks and I will continue str8ly with bringing back the heat on Tim Turbo Thursday. If you want to know what we did over there in the States, check out the daily videos I put together here.

While Danny Scrilla and DJ OneDrop forced the Funky House hits Dubstep explosion on the last mix, I had time to refill my black duffle bag and now I’m back with freshness, brand newness and hardcore exclusivness. Only the hard ish!
Special attention lays on: Four Schlachthofbronx tunes from the new album (out on 28.8.2009) on the mix and trust me the album will hit you like a ghetto sledge hammer (Diplo already blessed it).
Further attention: Me and Danny nearly got everything fix for the “Lazerdaze Summertour 2009″ and getting more and more excited every day. It’s all bout UK Funky, Dubstep and Lazers on today’s guestmix by Danny Scrilla and DJ OneDrop. The former should be well known to you, as he is something like a regular over here on TTT already and an upcoming German Funky producer plus my partner in crime for most of my last DJ shows (and a US tour in August). The second guy should be well known from the ingenious mixtape series “UK Funky Vol.1-3″ and he also used to run the Rise And Shine Soundsystem with Danny and some other great guys for years.
