Tonight, the Munich-based colleagues from BSTN presented their very own version of the NIKE Destroyer jacket. Being one of three German brands selected to customize the Destroyer, they strictly collaborated with Bavarian craftsmen to make it a true classic.
874 boss and long-time SEEN supporter Sven was the first of ten people to receive it (see picture with GABE above).
Puerto Giesing was packed and despite the fact that »How to Make it in America« – the HBO series Blacc provides the theme song for (read the full story) – has not been officially aired in Germany yet, of course, the rendition of »I Need a Dollar« was the highlight of the show.
Especially, as Blacc didn’t stick to the original version but switched between the original beat and Reggae and Latin riddims (see video above – the one drop comes in at about 4:10). For my taste, he could have left out the Bob hook but as the crowd’s reaction shows that was only my humble opinion.
Make sure to show up at Puerto Giesing on Friday. Besides Schlachthofbronx (w/ live appearance by Ron Foto), Malente, Tim Turbo and Daladala will be at the controls. The first 25 guests will receive a seen. shirt for free.
