BSTN

Tonight, the Munich-based colleagues from BSTN presented their very own version of the NIKE Destroyer jacket. Being one of three German brands selected to customize the Destroyer, they strictly collaborated with Bavarian craftsmen to make it a true classic.

874 boss and long-time SEEN supporter Sven was the first of ten people to receive it (see picture with GABE above).

Aloe Blacc (live) »I Need a Dollar« (Reggae version)

posted on October 7th, 2010 by in Munich Events, Video

Last night, the good people from Chromemusic, Der Kongress, and Carhartt Europe brought Stones Throw soul man Aloe Blacc and band to Munich.

Puerto Giesing was packed and despite the fact that »How to Make it in America« – the HBO series Blacc provides the theme song for (read the full story) – has not been officially aired in Germany yet, of course, the rendition of »I Need a Dollar« was the highlight of the show.

Especially, as Blacc didn’t stick to the original version but switched between the original beat and Reggae and Latin riddims (see video above – the one drop comes in at about 4:10). For my taste, he could have left out the Bob hook but as the crowd’s reaction shows that was only my humble opinion.

Nice one!

Recap: Die Allianz – Puerto Giesing Bass Bomb

Bwoy. Last night’s alliance of Munich’s biggest global bass parties (BTYCL, Global Warming and Hypie Hypie) – presented by seen. – was unbelievable.

I don’t have any official numbers yet but I guess that at least 600 people showed up in the basement of Puerto Giesing where Dala Dala, Tim Turbo, Malente and Schlachthofbronx tore the place down with the help of Ron Foto and Gnucci Banana on the mic like I have hardly seen it in Munich ever before.

Especially Schlachthofbronx’ homecoming after their extensive festival tour (Dour, Roskilde, Melt, …) made patrons go mental. Check the video above.

Thanks to all people who made this happen. Hope, you will join forces sometime soon again (hint: Oktoberfest time).
