Wednesday night, Nas’ and Damian Marley’s »Distant Relatives« tour took them to Tollwood Festival in Munich and the show was epic.

Not only did they perform a brilliant 2-hours-live-set including most – if not all – of the tunes from their Grammy-deserving collaborative studio album as well as their biggest solo joints, Nas also happened to wear our »Words, Power & Sound« T-shirt throughout the second half of the gig.

It’s hard to describe how it feels to have one of the biggest rappers this planet has ever seen representing in seen. – it’s probably the easiest to say pretty damn good and we definitely count our blessings…

Thanks a million, Max and Julian, for making this happen!

PS: For all who don’t know yet – the »Words, Power & Sound« T-shirt is available in our seen. online shop.

New video: Schlachthofbronx »Too High«

posted on May 9th, 2010 by Tobias in Munich, Video

The video for Schlachthofbronx’s Uberhit »Too High« is finally out. Check it above. It’s massive.

PS: As you might realize, the thingy was shot at the Oktoberfest 2009 and just when the shooting of the clip was reaching its climax, Tim Turbo and I were caught up in the air riding the infamous »Techno Power«. Cyan believe that more than 1,500 people already watched that clip …

Nasty Bass – Schlachthofbronx podcast for XLR8R

posted on April 9th, 2010 by Tobias in Audio, Munich

Our Munich fellows from Schlachthofbronx are slowly but surely warming up for a hot festival season which will take them from Copenhagen (Distorsion) via Grafenhainichen (Melt!) to L.A. (Hardfest) – many stops included.

And they now teamed up with XLR8R magazine to put together number 131 of the XLR8R podcast series to provide the world with some hot audio material to warm up as well.

Good thing for all XLR8R editors which have obviously been forced to listen to the Bronx’s 13-minute »Belly Full of Pills« mix approximately 400 times in their office since ever their colleague Ken Taylor picked that one up.

As usual, Bene and Jakob have quite some Jamaican chunes in their new mix as well, but read and listen yourself:

01 Schlachthofbronx feat. Slush Puppy Kids »Nasty Bass«
02 Sonido del Principe »Pesebre«
03 Douster feat. Aidonia »Uucko Thight«
04 Discotrashmusic feat. Spoek Mathambo & Bigspace »Bumpercars« (Schlachthofbronx RMX)
05 Boemklatsch »Reflex« (Schlachthofbronx RMX)
06 Sticky »Jack It Up«
07 Schlachthofbronx feat. Slush Puppy Kids »Belly Full of Pills«
08 Die Vögel »Petardo«
09 Unknown »Unknown«
10 Schlachthofbronx »We Run This«
11 Hoodie »Dirty Maluku Style«
12 South Rakkas Crew feat. Capleton »Bun Up 3000« (Schlachthofbronx RMX)
13 Zebra Baby »+1« (Schlachthofbronx RMX)
14 Unknown »Unknown«
15 Claude Von Stroke »Vocal Chords« (Schlachthofbronx Edit)
16 Schlachthofbronx feat. MC Gringo & MC Nem »Foc Me Baby«
17 Busy Signal »Black Belt« (Schlachthofbronx Edit)
