Dancehall Queen Style is a Jamaican dance fashion which became popular in the 1990s through music videos and The Grind show on MTV. The video is a playful take on the dancehall culture with its provocative costumes, suggestive poses, roles and blatant sexuality.

LA Lewis turns conceptual artist.

Jamaican deejay LA Lewis – best known for meeting Prince Charles, being beat up by Beenie Man, and having his name painted on walls all over Kingston – turns a conceptual artist. Watch »The Seven Star General« announcing the news on yesterday’s edition of Entertainment Report above.

A lot of artist win Grammy and sell platinum records but LA Lewis actually sell his brief!

With appearances by Diplo and London-based art curator Rachael Barrett, the piece even made LA LEWIS trend globally on Twitter (via Ross Sheil). 7 to the world!

Double Tiger »No Give Up«.

Lukasz from Initials LP got in touch and asked me whether I would like to share the first single »No Give Up« from »Nebula« – the debut album of dub rock/soul artist J-san of J-san & The Analogue Sons under his electronic dub/dubstep moniker Double Tiger.

I do because I love the promo clip with a purpose and the fact that the single features dub versions by King Tubby’s engineer Scientist and J:Kenzo of Tempa Records. Watch the clip above and check the Scientist in Dub version below.
